The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) was established by Executive Order on November 23, 1993. Many people around the world take for example scholars in colleges and universities have taken the lead examining the relationship between science and technology. It also has two undergraduate majors, Biology & Society and Science & Technology Studies. He continues his so-called study and research which further leads him on to the destructive capability of science.
This journey has taken man centres but, it has been worth it. Now, having studied the gifts of Science to mankind, it will do us some good if we do some introspection and try also to study how, and to what extent we are now misusing our scientific knowledge.
Through its teaching as well as its research, the department is playing a notable role in building the emerging discipline of Science & Technology Studies (STS). News and information moves online at warp speed, and bloggers are the engine on the keyboard. Science has contributed largely to this since it is through continued research that new machines are being unveiled. The Science & Technology Studies Major furthers students’ understanding of the social and cultural meanings of science and technology. Controversies such as modified foods, stem cell research are the issues that have brought policy makers and scientists together to have a way forward on this.
It provides the basis of much of modern technology – the tools, materials, techniques, and sources of power that make our lives and work easier. The work of the NSTC is organized under five primary committees: Environment, Natural Resources and Sustainability; Homeland and National Security; Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Education; Science; and Technology. The scientific approach to research is responsible for development of technology. It is true that technology these days must be viewed in terms of the changes brought into the existing communication systems through the computer. Science and technology has actually largely contributed to the vision of man about himself.
