If I were looking for a job within this growing industry that has to do with technology, I would pursue studies in which I would learn background information associated with technology and perhaps even do some extra readings through articles and books published. Research and development has become far more advanced than ever, and this leads to the invention of ground breaking technology. What will be absolutely decisive is how we equip our children, our students and our colleagues to harness the power of this technology to transform our world for the better. Even though there are certain repercussions and a negative impact of technology as well, nobody can say that technology has not aided society on a whole. The report, IT Opportunities in the Education Market , revealed that 78 percent of K-12 teachers and administrators believe technology has positively impacted the classroom and the productivity of students. During her previous three years at the school, Roshan notes, students were routinely stupefied by the traditional classroom lecture and often left class with more questions than answers.
The rise and innovation of technology coupled with unhealthy diets accounts for two thirds of Americans being obese or overweight! Handicapped students, students that have to travel a lot, and students with jobs can now complete their degrees wherever they go with a flexible schedule and often at their own pace. Thank you to all the women who have given their time and effort for these articles and interviews.
Stacey Roshan, an Advanced Placement calculus teacher at Bullis School—a private school for students grades three through 12 in Potomac, Md.—faced the problem of trying to keep her students engaged as she walked them through the difficult mathematics curriculum.
For instance, the introduction of blue tooth and wireless technology allows most people to abandon the use of wires. Other teachers have successfully implemented technology in the classroom, according to a recent study by CompTIA—which surveyed 500 K-12 and college instructors across the country. Topics that need to be understood to make information technology work is strategic planning, financial management, and risk analysis. With the new tools, students can conduct research faster in the comfort of their homes. Technology also encourages students to spend their time doing other activities such as playing video games and participating in social networking.
Taught with the video lectures, Roshan’s students in the 2010-11 school year scored an average of 4.11 on the AP calculus test, compared to the 3.59 average among her students who took the test and were taught in the traditional classroom setting the year before.
